i can't find and install the VISA driver

 I tried to run the basic serial write and read.vi example of Labview 7.1 but it generated the following error:

 Error-1073807202 occured at property node in VISA configure serial port.vi->basic serial write and read.vi 

 As I searched through this forum this was why I haven’t installed the VISA driver.

 I downloaded ni-435x v2.1 and installed it successfully. Now even though ni-435x exist in my programs list, I still receive the same error.

I also tried to download a higher version, but it said that I haven’t all the requirements to install it and the installation failed.

Please help me.

The NI-435x driver is the driver for the PCI-4351 which is a temperature and voltage data acquisition board. That has absolutely nothing to do with NI-VISA and I don't understand how you could have gotten linked to there. The latest version of NI-VISA is available at http://joule.ni.com/nidu/cds/view/p/id/348/lang/en or you could simply install NI-VISA from the drivers CD that you got when you bought LabVIEW.
