Hi Tom,
You can use NI-VISA to communicate the device. You can check on
this website to see if there is a driver that can you use for your device. If there isn't a driver, you can still use the NI VISA functions to send TCP/IP commands (Having a driver just means that the commands are built in and easier to use) If you can use Hyperterminal or telnet to communicate with your device, you should have problem with using TCP/IP.
