how to tell if citadel is running inside a vi??

CITADEL will automatically try to repair a corrupt database, I assume this happens as soon as the CITADEL service starts on a win2000 machine. Is there a way to pause my vi and make it wait until CITADEL is done fixing any corrupted files?? I want my computer to automatically start my labview program when it is turned on. If CITADEL is using a ton of memory to fix a corruption issue, then my vi operation is very sliggish.

Greetings,

Unfortunately there is no way to pause the LabVIEW VI while your Citadel database is being corrected. Because Citadel has an seperate process from the LabVIEW process, you would have to have some sort of application monitor that process to determine if the database correction is taking place.

One issue that you may want to look at is, why does the database seem to be corrupted so often? Are you experiencing this sluggish behavior everytime you launch LabVIEW? In that case, I would consider reinstalling Logos on your computer. The newest version (4.4.0.17) can be found on our website or ftp. You should not be getting corruptions of the data with simply exiting or opening LabVIEW. Reinstalling the Logos should address that issue.

Have a g
ood day!
