how to save virtual channels

I want to create a back up of my virtual channels!
How can I save my virtual channel's configuration?
Are the channels saved in a file? (Which file?)
Thank you for your help

Your configuration is stored in a file with a *.daq extension. Measurement and Automation will tell you the name of the configuration file that is active. Archive that file and you have a backup of the complete configuration.

... You need to be logged as an administrator (W2K) to be able to save and load a .daq file but you won't get an message if you are not an administrator!!!

I'm having the same problem ... I'm on an NT machine and it won't warn me that I cannot save the .daq file. However, I have been able to save files in the Temp directory. Could I save and use the .daq file there?
