how to program ismatec peristaltic pump

Hello,

I am trying to program Ismatec Reglo Digital pumps for use in my lab.  I am using a program set up by Ismatec, but I cannot get labview to interface with my pump.  Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get my laptop, and labview to interface with the pump attached via a rs232 serial port.

Thanks
Tim

How are you interfacing with the pump? I just checked Ismatec website and they provide drivers you can use from LabVIEW. Are you using that?

Thanks for the quick reply.  I am using the dribvers downloaded off of the Ismatec website.  Ismatec staff in Europe sent me an assembled version of the drivers to use.  I think my problem may be with the pump interfacing with the PC.I guess my first question is how do I know that my pump is interfacing with my PC, and ifit is why can't I get labview to communicate with it. Any help would be great.

Thanks

The manual for your pump is at

http://www.ismatec.com/images/pdf/manuals/Reglo_Digital_new.pdf

Starting at pg 31, there seems to be a complete description of the serial interface.

The port configuration is 9600 baud, 8 bit, 1 stop bit, no parity.

You could set up a hyperterminal session in Windows to test the commands and then code them using the visa serial communication palette functions.
