how to make program in lab view to do I-V measurement by Keithley.

I am fixing Keithly pulse source meter and remote source meter and interfaced it by IEEE 488 GPIB cable with computer having labview. My aim is to conduct I-V measurement of a semiconductor device by this assemply. I know how to to make simple labview program but dont know how this program actually work with extermal device. I will appreciate if sombody can help me with suitable suggestion. I will be glad to eloborate more if you wish me to ask for it.

The best source of information to get started on GPIB communication in LabVIEW is the GPIB support pages. Go to www.ni.com >> Support >> GPIB (option 3).

In there you'll find tutorials and examples programs on how to communicate with your GPIB device.

Also look at the LabVIEW shipping examples. In the Help menu, go to Find Examples (LabVIEW 6.1). The key words are Instrument control or Hardware I/O.
