how to capture text from camera and save in excel file

i want to do small project using OCR to capture text from camera and save in excel file.

any one can guide me how to start.

i have very basic knowledge of LabView.

When you have just "very basic" knowledge of LabVIEW (as can be seen how you spell the word LabVIEW) you should take those "Training resources" as offered in the header of the LabVIEW board.

Also note those self-paced online courses, offered by NI for free right now!
