how to call an Initfile?

Dear all,

I have a program which is suppose to set cal. factor for an optical power meter. I am trying to set an Initfile, such that pertaining to different testers the cal. factor would be different. How can i go about doing it? Seems like the main program kept calling back the same cal. factor. Any kind help is greatly appreciated.

I've recently started using the Configuration File vi's. You can use the serial number of each meter as the key, and then write the cal factor in each key (or section) of the file.

I have found that actually we can create a text file that contains the cal factor which we would write to the optical meter. Then in LabVIEW, retrieve the cal factor from the text file, from there we can set the cal factor for the optical meter.
