Did you mean:

how can I do cluster with both indicators and controls

Hi,
I make a program with lots of variables, and I want to group them in clusters to reduce the number of variables in my diagram. I notice that we can't make clusters with both indicators and controls. Is somebody know how to make clusters with both types of variable or know an other solution to gather variables?
thank you

Well, it makes even more variables, but you can use a Read Local Variable of indicators to cluster them.

Hi,

You should be able to create a cluster to meet your needs. I am able to create a cluster and wire controls and values that I pass to an indicator.

I am not sure what you mean by not being able to wire an indicator... You are right in the sense that an indicator receives a value, but does not pass it to something else like a cluster. But you should be able to wire the value going to the indicator to the cluster (in parallel).

Attached is an example of what I describe above. Hope it helps.

In additional, sometimes you need to combine in one cluster controls and indicators for user interface purposes. Theoretically you cannot to do this, but with small modification you can... See in attachment (modified Jonnie 5's example)

Thank you very much everybody for your answers and examples?
Andrey you have done what I want to do but I don't understand how do you do that!
when I put an Indicator in a cluster it became control. What is your "small modification"?

the item you called indicator in the cluster is a control which seems indicator. Are you customized the control?

The indicator in the cluster is not really an indicator. It's a control with the increment/decrement not shown (possible in LV7), or either colored transparent or resized (possible with control editor). All that has been done is to change the appearance. You cannot mix controls and indicators in a cluster.

Hurrey,
I'm sure fcheritel is happy with all these answers but Dennis is absolutely true.
What would happen to the cluster if it had Controls and Indicators in it ??

I still gonna give a **** to everyone for the help on this.
