Hi All,

How do I hide the border of a picture ring?  I''ve tried using the the tools from tool palette but no avail.

What version of LabVIEW are you using? In LabVIEW2009 (and previous versions I'm pretty sure) if you right click on the frame of a pict ring with the paint brush tool you will see in the lower left corner of the color pallette the current colors, probably grey for a newly dropped pict ring. If you move the arrow to the "T" in the upper right, the frame will disappear.

To have a Picture Ring without "physically" seeing it as a picture ring, you may try...

  1. Placing a Classic version of Picture Ring on Front Panel
  2. Use coloring tool to color its frame and body to as "T" (Transparent)
  3. Right-click the picture ring > Visible Items > Unchecks Increment/Decrement
Good Luck!

PS: attached is done with LV7.1.1

If you want to hide the border of a 3D object, you need to tell the coloring tool to color the background. You can do this by clicking the spacebar when the color dialog is displayed. Once you selected it, you can color it transparent.

This is actually displayed at the bottom of the color dialog, but I don't think anyone notices that line.
