graph/plot settings?

Hi.
I cant get the graphs to show the curve like it should. whwn plotting a squarewave it gets very strange. Probably it is not a difficult problem to solve but I cant find the soulution.
I attached a picture of the grafh som that you can understand what I mean.

Hello,

Are you sure this is really a graphing problem? It looks more to me like a hardware configuration problem - like voltage ranges of a DAQ card or something similar.

the curve comes from a tds220 oscilloscope via GPIB to USB.
perhaps there is a setting within the instrument?

Can you see the curve in the scope?
Is it similar to what you see in LabVIEW?
It seems to me it is somehow clamping at 0 and 5V, that's why I mention that it doesn't seem like a software problem.

Hello!

I don't think it is any idea to start looking at graph/plot settings in this case, what you should concentrate on is the GPIB programming, since this is most likely the cause of your problems. I cannot give you any more tips and hints since I don't have the instrument you specified and I don't know how your program looks like. I might be able to help you more if you attach the program you are using.

ok thank you averbody.
I solved it by changing the number type from U8 to double in the instrument assistant.
