What does polling of data mean?

It means that you write a serial command that requests a certain parameter, then read that data.

I have done that for the basic gps unit..now i need to do it for the differential gps setup..can it be done?

In TM4, it has two modes.  Broadcasting mode and polling mode.  Broadcasting mode sending info continuously.  Polling mode, when a command is received, it send out the requested info.

I am still trying to figure out the logic for the differential setup in labview..have you done differential gps programming in labview?

I never did differicial in LabVIEW for the GPS.  See att for some hint.

no. I helped a friend did something using Matlab, that's the info I got from him.  I didn't do any further research on that.
