Was having trouble finding NI SCXI VIs using 8.6. Reinstalled 6.1. Wrote program. Worked fine. Saved to Desktop, closed, reopened and got above error.

Forgot: Had to add NI SCXI VIs from another computer.

The only special SCXI functions that I know about were part of traditional DAQ and since this obsolete, is not installed by default. You simply have to install it. Copying functions from a different location is not enough.

You should really, really think about converting to DAQmx.

OK, now I'm even more confused. What does LV 6.1 have to do with the NI SCXI VIs? What NI SCXI VIs? You should be installing NI-DAQ (DAQmx). If you installed LV 8.6, then you need to install the support for LabVIEW when installing the DAQmx software. This installs the necessary drivers and VIs for the target LabVIEW version.
