Saverio,

at first I also considered race conditions to be essential. But: they are actually unpredictable. And the source of RCs is a bad syncronization/timing of different processes. Concerning a time machine, I really would like to materialize completly in the same time and not spread my body over several centuries.

But this only is true if the time machine is designed on an relativistic approach. If they use an quantum-field approach, they just need to increase the energy/mass to make the time 'unsharp'. In this situation also the race conditions will be sweept away from the quantum fluctuation.

In detail, we also need to discuss the effects of HeisenBugs and BohrBugs, both are special varieties of the common RC, one never occures and the other only occures in presence of a debugger. They won't be a big issue for the final product, but it might delay the shipping if the head developer is lost in time.

The subject of the thread is 'general', so they are referring general relativity (as opposed to special).

I'm not sure how that would factor into this discussion one way or the other.

Thank you for your post.  I was thinking about this over the weekend.

I hate to rain on your parade, but you will need additional information for your project.

For instance, you will need two "Perfect Spheres" used in conjuction with Kinesiology which is influenced by M-Field energy.  In essence, you need to create a magnetic monopole to polarize the spheres in such a way as to eliminate the poles so to render the effect of Lorentz force within both spheres and between the spheres.  That would accomplish trapping light because all charged particules would travel in a circle between the two spheres.  Since all particles, including light would be trapped, time inside the circle would be at a standstill.

Not simple to achive and harder to code in any language due to the complexity of the sensors, transducers and field emitters that interface with the computer.

Although I should probably not bring this up...

You might want to investigate Alfa-particles..    They are extremely small recurring phenomenas which are more of a nuisance than anything in the Universe.  They do share certain qualities that could be useful for time travel.
