flow estimation with stabilize the ar drone

Hi, i'm new. In my project i would stabilize the ar drone.

And i'm using flow estimation (LKP and LK).
With LKP i get "distance array" that (if i understand it) is distance between "feature points in" and "feature points out"....but in which unit of measurement?

While, with the LK i get the speed of movement (and the direction of movement) between 2 subsequent images....that's right?

Now..can i translate these parameters (distance array and direction of movement) in drone's movement?
i.e.  I was thinking that "distance array" is intensity of movement and with the sign of vector speed i get direction of movement.

Thanks

(sorry for my english)

Hi,

your question is not entirely clear. Can you be more specific?

I suppose you're using Vision (IMAQ) optical flow function. In this case look at the following document:

http://zone.ni.com/reference/en-XX/help/370281W-01/imaqvision/imaq_optical_flow__lk/

You can also find an example using that function, called "Optical Flow Feature Tracking.vi" , in LabVIEW example finder

Hey

I am trying to use optical flow with ar drone bottom camera but i am not able to get velocity component. It shows no value. I am also trying to stabilize the ar drone. Please can you help me by telling how you did it or what might be wrong with the vi. Please.
