floating source or ground referenced source????

Hi all,

       I am trying to capture the current waveform for different loads using a current probe (across live wire) and NI USB 6259 BNC. Should I set the source type to be ground-referenced or floating source??? As the load and the computer are connected to the same power system I should consider ground referenced source but current probe also provides the isolation which may prompt to use floating source. I am a bit confused. Your guidance will be of utmost importance.

You may find this link and this link useful, and without knowing more about your system, it is difficult to make a recommendation. You could try searching for current probe systems that have been done before and see how they are wired.
