fall detection

hi,

i am trying to detect faling from a patient. i am using 3-axis accelerometer to help me with this. i had connect the accelerometer to a daq using 3 channel. so far thing are working fine. peak detection are working but only for one axis..i am not sure why, but maybe if i superimposed the signal i can fix this..the one that i had i problem is to make the VI to determined if the patient is unconcious which can be show if there is no activity for a period of time( i.e. 10 sec)..i am trying to start the timer when there is peak detected(patient falling) and if there is no more peak detected in 10 seconds the led will light up.

i hope anyone can give me a hint on how i can solve this

As I can see, you are getting three measurements.

You need to get these 3 readings:

And apply threshold value to each of them.

Or just take the x,y,z components and produce the magnitude of the acceleration with Pythagoras, then work with that.
