.exe macro in LabVIEW

Hello all, i am trying to run a macro that performs a few actions in LabVIEW. This macro is an exe file. My question is how do i run it? I tried the System exec vi but the macro did not seem to be executed.

Thanks in advance
Nicolas

What sort of macro is this? I know Excel macros and C pre-compiler macros but really have no idea what you are talking about. Do you mean a DOS batch file? But they are not exe files!

He didn't ask how to create an executable. He asked how to execute a "macro" that is an exe file. Totally different things. Only problem is that I have no idea what he means with a "macro" that is an exe. He needs to clarify that first.

This knowledge base article describes what you are seeing and a solution:

Short version:  You need to run "cmd /c" to start it, not just the name/path of the program.
