Hey Corys I have had another problem the link will below will show you that I am missing two VIs can you tell me where to locate them?

Sorry, linked the single VI before, when I meant to link the folder with both VIs. Attached VI should work and, if not: Right-click on one of the non-loaded sub-VIs (the question marks on the Block Diagram) and choose Replace --> Select a VI. Then, navigate to ReplaceDuplicates.vi in the folder, and you should be golden. Sorry for the troubles, hope this helps!

I am unable to even open that link, it keeps going back to the previous link you had.

Hrm...not sure why it's doing that. I probably screwed something up...

Anywho, sorry for the inconvenience, but can you open the file linked in message 16 of this thread (RemoveDuplicates.zip). If so, download that VI, and follow the steps above in replacing the unknown VIs with it.

OK when I do that now select a Vi doesn't come up instead I get the Functions Palette.

Right, 'Select a VI...' is located on the Functions Palette. So, you'll right-click on the unknown VI, and go to 'Replace --> All Palettes --> Select a VI...' From there, you'll have to navigate to ReplaceDuplicates.vi.
(Note: Your palette may look different depending on options chosen and toolkits installed)

Alright it worked so what do I do now because I can't wire the sub VI now.

Do you mean you can't wire the RemoveDuplicates sub-VI, or are you wanting to use the entire 3D surface VI as a sub-VI of another VI?

If the former, you may have to rewire the sub-VI after it is replaced, depending on the terminal configuration of the VI being replaced. More details are needed to help.

If the latter, a few changes will have to be made. Most notably, the connector pane needs to be set up. Along with this, however, some things may need changing in terms of controls / indicators. The file path would probably work better as a control, so the calling VI can pass information to this VI as to where to find the Excel file. Also, if the files used are going to be changing size, the Cell Range values will have to be changed. Finally, the way the 3D surface is displayed would have to be changed in some way in order to update the Front Panel of the calling VI.

I'll try and help with anything you have questions about, although I will be leaving the office rather soon today, and won't be back 'til Monday.
