error 1046 labview-scilab gateway

hello,

I have 32bits LABVIEW 14.0 and 32bits scilab 6.0.0 installed, in addition to the gateway 1.31 32bits, but everytime i run the program i get the error 1046, knowing that i tried to install several versions of scilab, but i still get the same error message. Can you please help me understand what the problem is?

thank you,

hello,

No unfortunately I didn't. nothing seems to work, so i had to try signal processing using some of Labview VIs. it's slow, not as good as scilab's, but i'm trying to use what i have.

Thanks for the response. That's a nuisance to hear, I was looking at using it for signal processing likewise.

Hello : Same erreur 1046 with

- Labview 2014 32 bit

 - Scilab 6.0.0 32 bit or 5.5.2 32 bit

 - Gateway 1.31 (25 april 2014)

on a win7 64 bit laptop.

An idea about a windows service to run or a path variable to run a serveur ? (which serveur ? a scilab or Labview or both ?)

a VI serveur 127.0.0.1 to trig on Option/categoty/VI serveur ?

Long time ago, this gateway was running well ... what's happened ?

Hans

After countless hours trying to get Scilab to interface with LabVIEW 2017, I found a previous version of Scilab (5.4.0) and uninstalled the gateway and Scilab 6.0.0 from my computer. I then installed this older version of Scilab 5.4.0 and installed the most recent gateway found on the LabVIEW site. It now works. I don't know why or how but this may be worthy to attempt for some of you guys. I have attached the links to the gateway and Scilab 5.4.0. I am using Windows 10 (64-bit) with LabVIEW 2017 (32-bit).

http://10appstore.net/win10software/scilab540/589309/download.html (32-Bit, you will also need a 32-bit LabVIEW version)

http://www.ni.com/gate/gb/GB_INFOSCILAB/US (download 32-bit version if you are using 32-bit LabVIEW)

Cheers,

Filip Karisik.

I have reported this problem (which I also encountered in LabVIEW 2017 SP1 f2 64 bit) to NI support, in case they have any interest in ensuring that third party products with zero official support (this is the support forum page linked to on the LabVIEW Network page for the SciLab Gateway install page) are actually working with their products.

Don't hold your breath...
