What is the complete error message?
Try uninstalling LabVIEW and then re-installing it.

The error reads "NI labview 2014 must be installed before you can install NI labview 2014 datalogging and supervisory control module"

I already uninstalled labview 2014.

Thx.

Are you sure that you are installing LabVIEW 2014 and not some other version? Try re-installing it.

Did you install LabVIEW 32 or 64 bit? Sounds like you installed LabVIEW 64bit only.

I am sure you need LabVIEW 32 bit. It runs fine on a 64bit OS.

The toolkit requires LabVIEW 32 bit as described here.

I installed 64bit, will I try 32bit instead? and uninstall the 64 bit

Yes, you need LabVIEW 32bit.

You can leave the 64bit version installed if you want. It won't interfere, it just won't have access to the toolkit.

Thanks for your help sofar, I installed the 32bit labview 2014 and the DSCM worked fine , So can I uninstall labview 2014 64bit as my computer is running slower than usual since the install, In the windows add/remove there is labview 2014 displayed so how would I uninstall?

You can just leave it there if you want.  It's not doing anything.  Please explain in more detail what "running slower than usual" means?  Longer boot time, longer to load programs, sluggish UI response?  High CPU usage?

Thanks.  🙂
