Hi,
It sounds like you are on the right track. You will need to include DAQmx, IMAQ, and the LabVIEW run-time engine. If you are using Vision VI’s you will also need to include the Vision runtime engine. I is recommended to use Vision 8 if you are using LabVIEW 8.
But if you want to use the Vision 7.1.1 runtime then you will need to call in and talk to one of our sales representatives.
Also if you are using IMAQdx, or IEEE 1394 then you will have to purchase those for the target computer as well.
If you want to make a stand alone installer, then you need to include all of those drivers as additional installers.
Let me know if you have any other questions.
Regards,
GG

Hello again,
If you would like to run an executable that uses IMAQ/Vision there are two software packages that you may need to include on your target machine.
If you are using National Instruments IMAQ hardware or the IEEE 1394/GigE driver, you will need to install the Vision Acquisition Software.
If you are using any of our Vision algorithms (which it sounds like you are), you will need the Vision Runtime Engine installed.
The Vision Runtime Engine is a non-development version of NI Vision, which is required in order to run Vision VI’s on a system without NI Vision installed.
It sounds like you are using Vision 7.1.1 in order to get the run time engine for that version of vision contact a national instruments sales representative (1-800-433-3488).
You were right about what an installer is. With an installer you can include all of the drivers you need with your executable.
Keep me posted if you have any other questions.

Hi,
I should have explained this better in my last post. The Vision Acquisition Software is a software bundle that includes NI IMAQ, NI IMAQ IEEE 1394, NI IMAQdx, and IMAQ I/O. When you look in MAX you they will be listed under those names. You might not have all these drivers. The driver you have will depend on how you are acquiring your images. If you are using a National Instrument Image Acquisition card then you will be using NI IMAQ.
The two things you are seeing under Vision in MAX are included with the Vision Development Module. When you install the vision runtime engine it will include any DLL’s you are using from the Vision Development Module.
I hope this helps, let me know if you have any other questions.
Have a great day,
GG
