display an image when a number is generated

 Hi. I want to create a program that displays a certain image from a database(well, its actuall a simple folder), according to a number that was generated. for example, I generate a number from 1 to 10, and I have 10 pictures in a folder. if the number is 7, display picture number 7. If the number is 3, display the third picture. Is this possible? how?

You could just use a picture ring.
