deleting NI downloads folder

I have a relatively large folder (around 15GB) on my computer called national instruments downloads. Is it safe to delete this folder now that I have installed LabVIEW, or is it used by the program?

Yes it is safe to delete them.

Did you ever download software or drivers directly from the NI website?  That was where they were saved before the installation routine kicked in.

Thank you so much, I had been worried about deleting them.

If something goes awry in installing LabVIEW (say, when upgrading from Version 2014 to 2016), the easiest way to fix it, short of reformatting your hard drive, reinstalling the OS and all your programs and data, then doing a fresh LabVIEW install, is to do a LabVIEW "repair".  When you do, it will probably want to repair things that it updated from NI Downloads ...  If you are short of space, you might consider burning those files to a CD/DVD "just in case" ...
