deisel backup power set monitoring

Good morning,

I am trying to make a system using LabView that will monitor the condition of a deisel backup generator, (volage, on/off, fuel level, oil level, ect.. Have any of you done this before?

I am also trying to complete a system that will make a phone call to a service man when an alarm is detect. If they don't answer I would like it to automatically dial the next person on the list.

Could any of you please help me?

Have you defined the hardware yet?  Do you have a set of requirements (even if it's just a bunch of stuff written on a piece of paper)?  It's hard to talk about the software without these.

Unfortunately I do not. We are transitioning a contract and I don't have access to that information yet.
