I have no problem to connect to a non-password protected SQL server compact edition 3.5 database. However, when the same database was password protected, an error happend. Any idea.

How are you trying to provide the password?  You cannout use rthe user/password inputs on the DB connection.

You must update the connection string to provide the password.  Check here for some examples.

I've looked at this website before and tried to use the string statement but got a different error message.

Try removing the space between SSCE: and Database.
