cut and paste problem

I copied some stuff on a block diagram and then pasted it back onto a different part of the block diagram, but the pasted objects disappeared. I know that they actully got pasted, because the stuff that got pasted causes errors because it's not all hooked up properly.

If I go to the error list and start double cllicking the errors, it shows an outline of the offending entity, which I can then delete by hitting the delete button.  But there is a lot of stuff that needs to be deleted!

Is this a bug, or a feature?

I am using LabVIEW 8.2

If the disappearing entities is a feature, how do I disable it and make what I pasted visible again?

Hello Mike.

Are the controls in the block diagram or in the front panel?

If the controls you have pasted dissapered from the front panel my guess is that they are only "not visable" and can be made "visable".

Fix this by right click on the sink of the control (in the block diagram) and then choose show control/indicator.

If the controls have dissapered from the block diagram, its not a feature, its a bug and you should report it to NI-instruments. Or upload the vi in this forum and someone can take a look at it.

Cheers.

what exactly are these 'entities' that are 'disapearing'??

Or in other words, what do these block diagram functions constitute??
