Hello everybody,
I was just wondering if it’s possible to create my own icons. I’ve in LabView this heading Pipes, Pumps & Valves but I need more different of these icons.
I must build visual my whole trial schematic in LabView to describe my measurements so for example heating systems or burners.
It would be awesome if somebody could give me some advises on that.
Regards
Stiff Master

Is that what you need?

You say you have Valves & Pumps. This most likely means you have the DSC module installed.
If you do, you should also have the Image Navigator (Tools>>DSC Module) which has many images, including heating related.
You should just be aware that LV isn't terribly good when it comes to dynamic graphics. If you only to place the images once it should work fine, but for changing systems you may find you will need a lot of work.

Good day Altenbach and TST,
Thanks for your quick replay. That is exactly what I’m after!
I hadn’t had time yet to read Control Indicator pdf but I recon that is the perfect answer for my question.
And TST, I must be honest; I’m fairly new with LabView so I’ve no idea what this DSC Module is. I’ve under (controls/DSC Server Data Types) something with DSC. Is this what you mean? But I can’t find an Image navigator.
Is this DSC something different or this that what you mean?
Anyway, many thanks so far!
Cheers

DSC is the the Datalogging and Supervisory Control module. It deals with industrial automation and such.
If you have the image navigator installed, you should find in under the Tools menu, not in the controls palette.

Hi,
I was just having fun with my programs and did find the way to past a picture into the front panel but I can't figure out how to make it in the backgroud so that my front panel object appear on top of it. It must be some simple setting that I can't find and just wondered if anyone might know how to do this before I spend an hour or so going around in circles!
Thanks

You guys are sooooo great. I knew it was something simple that I just hadn't used before. Felt kind of stupid asking, but I do appreciate the help and now I can make some really cool looking VI's!!!!
