create installer with IMAQdx without installer GigEdriver

Hi,

How can I create an installer including Vision (IMAQ, IMAQdx) without adding the GigEVision driver which is included in the IMAQdx installation?

Thanks

Kim

I'm not fully sure I get what you want...

When you edit the installlers settings, in the "Additional Installers" section you have separate checkboxes for :

- vision RTE

- IMAQ

- IMAQdx (this includes GigE drivers)

Hope this helps

I'm developing image analysis software for GigE camera's.

I need Imaqdx software.

But together with this toolbox National installs a GigE driver which I don't need!

It is a possibility to include it and uninstall it afterwards, but I'm looking for a solution to exclude it from the installation.

Maybe I need to remove it on my developing system??

I'm not sure you can uninstall just the GigE drivers, why do you want to remove it anyway? does it interfear with your application or is it just because you don't do acquisition in your application and you don't want to include unnecessary drivers?

If you don't do acquisition in your application maybe you don't need IMAQdx at all, have you tried to build your app's installer without IMAQdx and install it on a clean computer(I mean with no NI Software)?

Installers created with LV are very bloated.  Even if you trim them down to included only the bare bones.  Not much you can do about it.

I am guessing that the reason you don't want it this driver is that it pops up some weird warnings about your NIC, which I have experienced.  In general, I think its harmless, though.
