control and view remote Vi

I saw a description about how to view and
control remote Vi's using a browser in the National
Instruments website.
I am trying to monitor and control a remote Vi
which continuously collects and displays data. From
the description, I understand that the computer which
runs the Vi should have a Web server (Microsoft peer
server), update server and action server. Am I right?
I have an intranet connection. From where and how will
I be able to obtain the Microsoft peer server.
I am currently using Lab view 6.0

Is it necessary that we need to use the same version
of lab view and windows system in all the systems that
are connected in the intranet?

The description which I am talking about is under the heading "Viewing and
controlling VIs via a browser". You can get the details if you use it in the NI lab view "ask your questions".

Hi Kirthi,
if you have LV 6 you can only view the vi panel but you can't control it from a remote pc.
If this is enough, the server pc (the one that runs the vi) needs only the LabVIEW Web Server which is installed by LV itself. You have to enable and configure it, but this is quite easy (see page 17-9 of the User Manual).

For a remote control of the vi you need LV 6.1 where the Web Server has been significantly improved. In this case on the client pc you have only to install the LV Runtime Engine 6.1

I sugest you get LabVIEW 6.1
It is better for remote connection
