continous digital output from NI 9476

Solved!
Go to solution

Hello,

I am using NI 9476 to generate the continous digital output from LabView 8.5.

But I am getting the following error:-

'Error -201062 occurred at DAQ Assistant

Possible Reason(s):

Selected lines do not support buffered operations.

Ensure only lines that support buffered operations are being used in the task. If using change detection, the task must be changed to non-buffered hardware timed single point to support these lines.

Device: cDAQ1
Physical Channel: _slot2/port1/line0 '

Could anyone tell me where the problem lies.

Thanks in advance for your reply.

 Your error message would imply that you are trying to use hardware timing.  Are you?

When your error message says that the device does not support buffered operations, it means exactly that.  You are trying to do something that the device is incapable of.  If you look at your spec sheet, you'll note that it specifies software timing.

You will need to either use software timing, or you will need a different device.  Note that the maximum clock rate for your software timing is 2kHz, so you will not be able to go faster than that.  Of course, achieving 2kHz with software timing is pretty unlikely anyway.
