constant current mode agilent E3646A !!

I am trying to setup up my Agilent E3646A power supply in constant current mode. I have downloaded the instrument drivers for this device but they seem to only allow for constant voltage operation. Does any one have experience with this device?

There is an IVI driver and a LabVIEW Plug and Play driver available for this instrument. I will address the LabVIEW Plug and Play driver. I think that the VI you are looking for is the age364xa Configure Current Limit.vi. This VI sends the CURRent command to program the immediate current level of the power supply. See page 79 of the Agilent 3640 Series User Manual.

If the behavior of this VI is as I suggest, then I would agree that the documentation and name of this VI are a little misleading. If you can confirm the behaviour of this VI, then I will make the necessar
y updates to make it more intuitive in the driver.
