closing an application from a vi

I am new to LABVIEW 7.1. I have called a WINDAQ application from a batch file to start when the vi is opened.

The problem I have is closing this application once I hit the X button in the top right hand corner

of the screen. The Windaq application opens from a batch file with no problem and minimizes

but I cannot figure out how to close it once exiting LABVIEW. Thanks in advance.
