clear visa read

Hi,
I have a problem with clearing my voltage on my instrument, after taking a series of readings from my power supply. I am using a power supply and creating a ramp voltage. At the end of the expt, the voltage is very high, and i want to bring it to zero, immediately after i finish taking the last reading. I tried using VISA write to clear and also to set to zero, after VISA read, but neither works. Can anyone help me with this voltage clearing thingie?

I don't understand why you would be able to successfully write a series of voltages to the supply at one point and not be able to do the same thing later on. Do you get any errors when you do the last VISA Write? Can you post an example of your code?
