changing screen resolution

I am looking for a way to set the screen resolution when my labview program starts. I have tried using the VI properties to scale/change for different resolutions but i have found that my some indicators/controls shift slightly. So i thought that if i might be able to set the monitor resolution myself and that way avoid any problems with different resolutions.

I have seen that somebody else has had the same problem and somebody gave them a link but the link does not seem to work now. Anybody else have any ideas?
