can the x axis of xy graph be string

Dear Sir:

I have a data set to be shown on xy graph. however, the y axis data is number, and the x axis data is date and time, like 14/18/04, 15/18/04, .... How can I show these sting data on the x axis in xy grahp?

Yes to Date/Time.

Right click on the graph, select properties and then the "Format & Precision" tab
Select the X-Axis and the either Absolute or Relative time.
You can then set the desired display format for the date & time.
