calculate azimuth and elevation from cartesian coordinates

Hi
I am writing a test software for a radar antenna. In the SW I have controls for azimuth and elevation angeles and the antenna interface is controlled with cartesian coordinate unit vectors. I have made a vi that calculates unit vectors from azimuth and elevation, see attached picture. This vi gives me the correct result.

The antenna also returnes cartesian coordinates for the actual position. Now I want to translate these signal back to angles again. I suppose it should be possble using the "Direction Cosines To Euler Angles.vi" but this vi input is a 3*3 matrix of direction cosines. Anyone who know how to do this ? I am using LV 8.21

Hi Sture,

Sorry for the delayed reply.

I suggest you use the 3D Coordinate Conversion vi. I attach an example.

Hope it helps.
