calculate FFT from a DSO-X 2024A waveform

Hello,

I'm new to labview and i need some help calculating FFT from a waveform I acquire from DSO-X 2024A.

this is the vi i found online to acquire the FFT however when i try and do FFT i get wrong calculations.

Thank you all for your assistance

If you are "new to LabVIEW", here is some advice:

  1. Learn LabVIEW.
  2. Before tackling a "real-world problem" that involves acquiring real data from a real device, learn LabVIEW.
  3. Learn how to acquire data from real devices with LabVIEW.  Learn enough LabVIEW that you can acquire data using DAQmx instead of the dreaded DAQ Assistant express VI.
  4. If you are having trouble with your code that involves acquiring data from hardware and subsequently analyzing it (say, doing an FFT), split the problem into two pieces --
    • Write a (small) VI that acquires a limited data set and plot it on a Chart and save it to a text file (so you can look at it, or show it to someone when you ask for help.
    • Write a (small) VI that generates known sample data (say a sum of 3 sinusoids) and try to analyze it (say by doing an FFT).  See if the analysis output makes sense.  If not, ask for help, attaching the VI that is your "Analysis of known, made-up data" routine.
