Dear all,
I want to use a cRIO to record an analog sine wave over the course of months. Finally, I want to get the frequency of the signal, which I could do in post-processing, but logging the already calculated frequency would be nice as well.
My approach is to simply program my cRIO (FPGA) so that the raw voltage values are write directly to a USB harddrive.
However, that way I cannot access the data after lets say every week without disconnecting the harddrive.
Can someone give a hint on an alternative approach?
Maybe take a small PC, connect it with the cRIO via a crosscalbe and make the PC stream the data in blocks to a harddrive? Thanks for any advice.
Cheers, Jack

Can you connect to cRIO from MAX (PC)? If yes, select "file transfer" from context menu and download file without disconnect harddrive

I would also recommend using a seperate PC for logging the data. That PC can have network access for allowing the data to be on the network if you want.
