bitmap resolution

How can I display a 256 or more colors bimap in a panel in LabView 6.1 ?
If I paste an Image the resolution seems to be like 16 colors.

You can either paste it onto the front panel at edit mode,
or you can use picture control to display it in run time
(picture control doesn't support 16/32 bit color).

When copy or paste a bmp, the color will change to match
the window screen color. Make sure you choose 8 bit
(256 color) or higher for your screen color (system
level, not LabVIEW). Make sure the bmp on the clipboard
is 8 bit (256 color) by paste it to MS Paint.
