bitmap image zoom in or out

Hi Folks,

I need to zoom in or out on a bitmap image. The image is a picture of a plot. I was wondering, what is the easiest way of showing a zoom in or out. I'm not allowed to use an xy plot or other plots, the bitmap provided needs to be redrawn so its xy scale changes accordingly.

Any ideas?

Obvioulsly you have to display the image somewhere, probably using a picture control ? There is a zoom property node of the picture control that you can use to change the scale programmaticaly : right click the terminal on the diagram, then select create > property node > zoom factor.
Otherwise, you'll have to convert your image to a 2D array, then use a for loop and Decimate a1D array to zoom out or Interleave 1D array to zoom in

I wrote a VI that computes a bicubic spline interpolation over both axes (x-y), which enables you to zoom in and out with any aspect ratio. Make sure that you've got the lvanlys.dll in your LabView path: \National Instruments\LabVIEW 7.1\resource\. Otherwise you can find this dll attached to this thread (just in case).

Hope that helps ...
