automatic graph creation

Hello,

i'am workink with Labview 2013 and i want to display multiple different measured data on different graph. The problem is the number of channel could be different depending the number of channel the user could select. Herewith a vi which could explain a little bit more my problem. Moreover i would like to associate automatically a name to these different graph. Is it possible?

Thanks!

Hello s²,

I am sending to you in attachment a VI with an other idea to bundle signals and some customize option.

You can use, amongst others, property and method nodes.

Here's a link which might help you: customizing_graphs_and_charts

Best regards.

Without comments, it's not very clear what it is doing.  For example, why are you basing the amount of plots on the number of samples?

Plus, the ActPlot has to be the top one, followed by Plot.Name or it will be naming the LAST active plot.  They go in descending order, right now you are setting the plot name, then the active plot, when I think you want to do it the other way around.  You always want to specify the plot you want to work on first.

Hello Bill,

Thanks for your comments. I will write clear information in my next posts.

I’m sorry, Instead of No. of channels I connected N value to No. of Samples.

LOL yeah I figured you just chose the wrong one.  🙂

Just remember about the property node.  They execute from top to bottom.  🙂

Just heed my caution above about the property nodes or you'll be scratching your head as to why the plots aren't appropriately named.

hello,

i try your program but i don't succeed to run it.

First there is only one graph and i hope one graph for one channel (so if i select 6 channel, i would like to have 6 different graphs, is it possible?), then i have an error (see herewith).

have you an idea?

thanks
