autologging of frontpanel controls programmmaticaly

i want that when i exit from front panel the current values of objects get saved automatically and when i get into labview and open the front panel vi show the saved values of controls.
In other words save and retrieve function should be performed  programmatically without pressing any button  to save to or retrieve from the file.

What about saving the picture of the front panel when the application stops and then read and display that picture when the app is launched ?

I am pretty sure you can find an example on this forum (with the search engine) to save the FP image to file ; if not, get back to post here and we'll do that for you 😉

BTW, something pretty usual is to save control/indicators value to an ini file and then load them at start, would that be ok for your application ?

It's me again... A while ago I found the attached VI on this forums (I couldn't find the original post, sory for the author Smiley Sad )

Pass the reference of the main VI to this VI and it will save the picture of the selected object of the front panel, if no object in selected it will get the whole front panel, does it match your needs ?

Hope this helps you.

PS : whoever wrote this VI, thanks and congratulations to him (or her Smiley Surprised)
