A colleague just pointed out that if you remove the sequence structures, the output in all cases is as expected. Wrapping only the middle or bottom case (only the min/max function as shown above) with a sequence structure reintroduces the issue.

Which implies that the sequence structure is doing... something else other than control program flow? Curious.

Wow. This is a terrifying bug.

 

NI says this CAR was fixed in LV 2014 SP3. 

 

I just tried Paul's example in LV 2015, and it seems ok there as well.
