I am trying to archive a database programmatically, but it only archives the traces, not the datasets (which are of great value to us).  I know we can do it through MAX but it would be better if we could automate it.

How are you accessing database programmtically? with LV database connectivity toolkit? If so, you can archive the recordset into XML file or ADTG files.

I am accessing the database with the dsc historical data vi's.
