application builder compatibility question

I currently have Labview 8.5 and would like to buy application builder to go with it.  Can I buy the current version of application builder, or do I need an older one?  If the latter, is it still possible to buy the correct application builder or do I have to buy all new software?

You need the one that matches your LabVIEW version.

(I am under the impression that having a license for the new version also allows you to use an older version on the same computer, but please check with you local sales rep)

I may be wrong but, the App Builder installer SHOULD default to installing support for all versions of LabVIEW on the current system.
