any way to show a tip or note on screen?

Hi there,

  I am looking for a way to show a tip or note on the screen. I know we could set the tip strip on a UI so when the mouse enter the UI the tip will appear. But I want to know any way to show something like that on the screen without requiring the mouse entering the UI and make it disappear in some seconds or when the mouse click any where. This just like a dialog but wihout out the OK or CANCEL BUTTON and will disappear by itself after some times or by any action (keyboard or mouse).
