Need assistance with controlling an Animatics smartmotor using LabView. I have no experience with the VISA nodes, but I can control the motor fine through its own software. I just want to send the motor strings to control it (and possibly get feedback). I've looked at the NI examples and they didn't seem to match what I'm trying to do. Anyone?
Thanks for posting at NI forums! I searched on the website for Animatics and I found they use a SMI engine for programming. You could call the SMIEngine through ActiveX, as shown in this forum for Animatics. I’m linking some information on how to call ActiveX code from LabVIEW.
