agilent 4284A

Hi,

does anyone have experience in controlling the Agilent 4284A - LCR-Meter via LabView?
Agilent told me, that there are no LabView-drivers available. Is this a problem? Do I need drivers,
or is it possible to communicate with the Agilent 4284A without drivers?
One additional remark: I'm completely new to LabView...

Agilent is wrong. There is a driver for it here. Just fyi, if you need other drivers, go to the Instrument Driver Network and do a search. You should also check the "What is an instrument driver link" to get an idea of how to use what you download.

Hello Clock Craker
I have a program for controlling Agilent 4284a LCR meter using a gpib interface
you can use this program if you have VEE OneLab 6.01 not by LabVIEW.
I can send you this program if you need.
if you don't have VEE OneLab 6.01 i can send you this program also.
I would like controlling a Tegam LCR meter 3550 Model using LabVIEW, Tegam sent me a driver designed for LabVIEW 7.1 but i have a LabVIEW 6.1 can you send me this version of LabVIEW if you have or help me to controll this device.

Hi,

I couldn't find the read commands on the mannual of Agilent 4284 Precision LCR Meter. That's why it's problem to control it using LabView VIs. Please give me idea about the reading command just for the resistance.

Thanks.
