Did you mean:

add folder in application builder

hello,

is it possible to attach a folder for the executable in the installer.
my programm needs a folder called system with some xml- files.
i want to attach the whole folder. so the installer should copy this folder to the application path.

there is one installation option called add files.
this option doesn't allow to add folders.
is there any other solution fpr the problem?

Hi markus,

you said: “is it possible to attach a folder for the executable in the installer."

You should really try the OpenG Builder; it has a lot more features than the NI Application builder and is truly a great tool. You can get it through the OpenG Commander.
For example, in your particular situation, you can recursively include support files and folder. While you have to select every single one in the NI App Builder, in the OpenG builder you can use wild card or include the whole folder (recursively or not) or even exclude some files (recursively or not) as well. Give it a try.
Best of all, its free.

Markus,

For OpenG Builder support question please post in this forum.

Check the picture below. Select the support tab and enter the folder name (as seen on the screenshot) you want to add to your build and make sure you set the recursive check box to true.

Good luck
